Maps from 1908 indicate that this lot housed a hay storage building, a blacksmith shop and a livery stable. By 1913 the current building appears on the map as a variety store. That may have been the period in which it was a furniture store. It was later divided into a saloon on the south side and a series of youth clubs on the north. The longest lasting of the clubs was called the Deming Club which lasted until 1980. The building is currently owned by the Luna County Historical Society. A new Coke sign has been painted on the side along with a Deming Club sign.
