[FR] Il est l’œuvre des sculpteurs JeanPaul Luthringer et Jean-Jacques Staebler. Il a été implanté au sein du Parc du Moulin près du monument dédié aux martyrs de la Résistance situé en contrebas, afin de faciliter le déplacement des cortèges lors de cérémonies.

Situé à l’angle des rues Cartault et de la République, ce monument est composé d’une croix de Lorraine en acier de 8 mètres de hauteur et côté parc du Moulin d’un buste en bronze du Général de Gaulle accompagné de part et d’autre par le rappel des grandes batailles françaises de 1940 à 1945 et par le texte de l’une des premières allocutions du chef de la France Libre à Londres.

[EN] It is the work of the sculptors JeanPaul Luthringer and Jean-Jacques Staebler. It is located within the Moulin Park near the monument dedicated to the martyrs of the Resistance situated below, to facilitate processions during ceremonies.

Situated at the intersection of rue Cartault and rue de la République, this monument is composed of a steel Lorraine cross, 8 meter high, and on the side facing the park there is a bronze bust of General de Gaulle accompanied by a list of the great French battles of 1940 to 1945 and by the text of one of the first speeches of the head of the Free French in London.
