The grey marble bust of Bert Hinkler is located near the southern end of the Burnett River Bridge and is placed on a black concrete pedestal, the bust is approx three times lifesize and is wearing his flying goggles, helmet and a coat buttoned up to the neck.
The bust was sculpted by G. Virine and unveiled on August 29th 1959.
