The Sunset United Methodist Church in Pasadena, TX has quite an Internet presence, but this small congregation some hours away doesn't have as much. There are a few web-spidered listings, while a page hosted by the United Methodist Church refers to them as "First United Methodist Church of Sunset" instead of what it says on the sign. However, there is some history, noting that they were originally the "Methodist Church, South". The current building was dedicated in 2011 to replace a sanctuary that was constructed in 1893: A look at Google Maps Street View prior to 2011 shows that they've tried to maintain the same look and feel that they had previously. The old sanctuary and grounds saw some upgrades in the 1950s, 1970s, and 2005, but heavy snow finally took its toll and prompted a replacement. The church was able to restore their original bell, and it is still doing what it's supposed to do, easily spotted from the street.
