Rev. John Wooten has a traditional tree stump Woodmen headstone. It stands on four horizontal logs engraved with calla lilies. The surname WOOTEN is in raised letters above the inscription.
The inscription is engraved on a shield and is beautifully legible 104 years later. It reads:
