This Citizens Memorial is located in Norton Shores, Michigan within PJ Hoffmaster State Park. The Memorial is a trail dedicated to Donald "Sandy" McBeath which leads to two great scenic overlooks within the park. There is a plaque at the beginning of the trail that reads:"Donald "Sandy" McBeath Memorial Trail First park interpreter, P.J. Hoffmaster State Park, 1975 until his death in 1994- Sandy's love for State Parks was transcribed to all who came here. His vision of this trail section being "accessible to all" was realized by the completion of this walkway in 1997."
