Der Preußische optische Telegraf war ein zwischen den Jahren 1832 und 1849 bestehendes telegrafisches Kommunikationssystem zwischen Berlin und der Rheinprovinz, das behördliche und militärische Nachrichten mittels optischer Signale über eine Distanz von 588 Kilometern übermitteln konnte.
Der Preußische optische Telegraf war zu seiner Zeit die längste Telegrafenlinie Europas.
