This sundial is located to the south side of Walthamstow Central station. The sundial forms a roundabout for vehicles using the station and is about 16m (50 feet) in diameter.

The gnomon is located in the centre of the roundabout with lines marking the hours radiating from it and are picked out in a contrasting coloured brick. The noon line appears to be lit from beneath. Bollards are arranged around the perimeter to stop vehicles parking on the kerbs. Each bollard contains an hour, indicated in Roman numerals, stretching from 5am to 5pm.
