Macy Place Books is on the north side of Macy St., near South Ponca Ave. The library is painted on all sides and has several chairs nearby for reading. A stone patio surrounds the library and reading area.

The front of the structure has a red door with white trim on the top and left side, painted with branches and flowers. "Macy Place Books" is painted in yellow at the top. "Take a Book/Share a Book" is written down the right side. Under the door is a dog leash hook.

Left side: White trim, light blue/white background with the words "you is kind you is smart you is important/Aibileen Clark" and "Take a book/leave a book".

Back side: Strong red/blue/white swatches to represent the US flag, with a tree on the right side, and a few clouds.
