"La tour a environ 40 mètres de haut et permet de découvrir un vaste panorama. Point de mire de toute la région, le clocher, au temps de la Ligue, attira le rassemblement des patriotes bretons de Haute Cornouaille, pour aller lutter aux frontières de la Bretagne contre les ennemis de la patrie. Le " Barzaz Breiz " dans le chant de départ des Ligueurs cornouaillais pour le siège de Craon (1592), en a conservé le souvenir."
