Maria trägt ein langes Gewand, welches auch ihren Kopf bedeckt. In ihren Armen liegt der gestorbene Jesus, nur mit einem Lendenschutz bekleidet. Seine Wunden an Brust und Händen sind zu erkennen, Maria blickt traurig auf ihren Sohn.
