Littleton Bridge - 1905 - Salford, UK - Bridge Date Stones and Plaques on Waymarking.com

Although the bridge was built by Captain H A Clowes at his own expense it was always a public bridge. He was a rich local landowner and the bridge gave him better access to his estate as well as improving communications for everyone else.

There are two very worn stone plaques on the bridge parapet each on opposite sides of the road.
