"The replacement of the old Fresnais church, considered to be in poor condition and dangerous for the parishioners, was envisaged in 1886, and the decision was taken by the municipal council in 1889.
The first plans for the new building were drawn up the same year by Arthur Regnault and its construction began in 1893 in the center of the town, very close to the old building which would be kept during the works and then demolished.
The new sanctuary was blessed on December 14, 1899. The work was completed in 1901.
In a Romano-Byzantine style, this monument with many spaces is distinguished by its roofs of various shapes. Octagonal turrets, dome and nave, lateral bell tower attached to the main facade or even semi-circular choir, make this building a masterpiece of architecture. In 2007, part of the stained glass windows were restored. "

En 2007, une partie des vitraux ont été remis en état. "
