L'usine de la chocolaterie de Donzère a ouvert en 1895. Elle est d'abord gérée par les moines bénédictins du monastère d'Aiguebelle à 15Km de là.
Basé sur le communautarisme et l'autarcie, l'usine avait ses propres jardins potagers et espaces de recueillement.
Les moines partiront en 1901 et l'usine continuera jusqu'en 1978, date de sa fermeture définitive.
Depuis, le site de l'ancienne usine est devenue un parc d'activité et l'espace de recueillement a pris forme d'un petit parc clos dans lequel ce trouve un petit plan d'eau accueillant 2 hôtels à insectes.

The Donzère chocolate factory opened in 1895. It was first managed by the Benedictine monks from the Aiguebelle monastery, 15Km away.
Based on communitarianism and self-sufficiency, the factory had its own vegetable gardens and meditation spaces.
The monks will leave in 1901 and the factory will continue until 1978, the date of its final closure.
Since then, the site of the old factory has become an activity park and the meditation space has taken the form of a small enclosed park in which there is a small body of water hosting 2 insect hotels.
