FR Au pied du château d'Entrecasteaux et devant la mairie se trouve cette fontaine de pierre taillée.
Deux faces sont ornées de têtes de lions formant canons qui déversent l'eau dans un élégant bassin monobloc.
Datée de 1787 et surmontée d'une boule, elle était anciennement alimentée par la source de la Douvelle dont l'eau arrivait par un canal voûté souterrain. Aujourd'hui, la fontaine reçoit l'eau de la Ville et on peut agréablement s'y désaltérer.
EN At the foot of the castle of Entrecasteaux and in front of the town hall is this fountain of carved stone.
Two sides are decorated with lions' heads forming cannons that pour the water into an elegant monobloc basin.
Dated from 1787 and surmounted by a ball, it was formerly supplied by the spring of the Douvelle whose water came through an underground vaulted canal. Today, the fountain receives water from the City and you can quench your thirst.
