A praying mantis reading a book is located at the Jackson-Madison County Library in Jackson, TN. The sculpture is on the north side of Layfayette, between Cumberland and Royal. It is approximately 15' tall.

A large praying mantis, wearing glasses and reading a book, stands outside the main Jackson library. It is made out of some type of metal, is approximately 20 feet tall, and is painted a pale green.
