Bushyhead Road is named after a former slave from this area who was an active member of the Mt. Moriah AME church, located where Bushyhead and Mt. Moriah Rds connect.

Location of crossing: Bushyhead Rd., between Mt Moriah Rd & MO-135

This crossing is over Johnson Branch of the Lamine River. Johnson Branch is actually a creek that flows local drainage into the Lamine River.

This crossing is now used mainly by farmers traveling to fields, and grants access to the State Highway (135) which is the outlet to t the city of Pilot Grove and main north-south highway in the area.

The road is gravel, but the crossing is paved.
