Visit our dedicated volunteers for friendly advice on where to stay, what to do or just chat with a local. Most of our volunteers have lived in the village for many years and can provide you with comprehensive and accurate information on all tours, attractions and services. We also offer a booking service and complimentary maps and brochures in our region. The Centre has an excellent range of locally handmade gifts, books on the region and is the current keeping place for local Indigenous artefacts being held on display on behalf of the local Djabugay people. There is also a live spider and stick insect display. Ask us about our Indigenous Conversations and Yarn-up Tours. The Kuranda Visitor Information Centre is open 7 days a week from 10am to 4pm. Closed on Christmas Day. You can call us on (07) 4093 9311 or mobile 0417 261 522.
The Kuranda Visitor Information Centre is a Tourism Queensland accredited centre and a member of the Queensland Information Centres Association. The centre is located in Centenary Park at the top end of Coondoo Street. The Kuranda Visitor Information Centre is your first stop on the way to the Atherton Tablelands and the Savannah Way and with the yellow i sign you will be sure of a genuine quality information provider.
