[DE] "Ehemalige Wagenausbesserungshalle
Die Wagenausbesserungshalle wurde 1960 auf dem zugeschütteten Areal des Bingerbrücker Hafens von der Bahn errichtet. Als genietete Stahlfachwerkskonstruktion ist sie filigran und materialsparend gebaut. Die großflächige Verglasung sorgte für genügend Helligkeit. Die 3000 qm große Halle war von drei nebeneinander liegenden Gleisen durchzogen, die beiderseits stirnseitig mit den Bahngleisen draußen verbunden waren.
Unterbodenarbeiten möglich
Unter den Reparaturgleisen befanden sich mannshohe Arbeitsgruben, um Unterbodenarbeiten jeglicher Art an den Bahnwagen ausführen zu können. Der Achsenwechsel fand auf einer großen Bühne vor der Halle statt.
Unter den 20 bis 30 Mitarbeitern der Ausbesserungshalle waren auch Schreiner und Schmiede. Diese sorgten für den Austausch von Bremsbelägen, Blattfedern und Gleitachsen, die in der Schmiede, der ehemaligen Hafenmeisterei des Bingerbrücker Hafens, neu gegossen wurden. Hier war auch eine Lehrwerkstatt integriert und Reisezugwagen wurden einmal im Monat einer sicherheitstechnischen Überprüfung unterzogen.

1978 wurde die Wagenausbesserungshalle mit ihren Nebengebäuden durch Zentralisierung des Arbeitsaufkommens und Verlagerung von Logistik und Personal stillgelegt."

The wagon repair hall was built in 1960 on the filled area of the Bingerbrück harbour by the railway. As a riveted steel framework construction, it is filigree and material-saving. The extensive glazing provided sufficient brightness. The 3000 m² hall was traversed by three adjacent tracks, which were connected on both sides to the outside rail tracks.
Underbody work possible
Under the repair tracks there were man-high working pits in order to be able to carry out any kind of underfloor work on the railway wagons. The axle change took place on a large stage in front of the hall.
Among the 20 to 30 employees of the repair hall were also carpenters and blacksmiths. They replaced brake linings, leaf springs and sliding axles, which were cast in the forge, the former harbour master's shop of the Bingerbrück harbour. A training workshop was also integrated here and passenger coaches were subjected to a safety check once a month.
