The Malmsbury Botanic Gardens are situated on the flats surrounding a billabong of the Coliban River, the lake has two islands,one with a non-functioning fountain. The Gardens were designed by Baron Frederick Von Mueller and Dr E Davey,a local councillor, the park has paths that wind through the exotic and local species of trees.
