Asteroid, 4503 Cleobulus, discovered in 1989 by C. S. Shoemaker, named after the 6th century BC Greek poet, Kleoboulos of Lindios.

"Asteroid 4503, Cleobulus, an Amor asteroid, was discovered on November 28, 1989 by Carolyn S. Shoemaker at Palomar Mountain Observatory near Pauma Valley, California. It has a period of 4 years, 166 days.

It was named for the dictator of Lindus on the Greek island of Rhodes, Cleobulus, one of the Seven Sages of Greece, a man renowned for the wisdom of his sayings, his skill with riddles and the beauty of his poetry."

Asteroid Cleobulus' astrological meaning seems to be: quotable, words that stick, that "have legs," "speaking in riddles."
