This Little Free Library is on the grounds of an elementary school at the corner of two major feeder streets for this upper-class neighborhood. The major intersection of Rockwall Mill and Palmetto Way mark the corner of the large school complex. One wonders why a community book exchange library is in the front yard of a school that surely has its own library! Then the placement of the library unit is a bit of a wonder as well. It is mounted within feet of the trunk of a large cedar tree at the edge of a cluster of other cedar trees in the front yard of the school complex. The street from which you enter the school by driving up a long one-way drive has the curbs marked as a no parking zone. The main street (Rockwall Mill) is a major feeder street and offers no clear parking areas. If you did manage to park on Rockwll Mill, the walk across the massive front year would be 125 feet. Palmetto Way is also a major artery but does allow some curb parking but would be 216 feet from the little library. Once at the library exchange box you will find a very well made and well maintained little library filled neatly with elementary level reading materials. You will also see several signs stating that you are expected to return the borrowed books and that you should not just take books only, but should return them too! It is true that the concept of the Little Free Library is that the books inside the box are offered with the intent that one can "Take A Book: Return A Book." Usually, there are no supplemental signs stating that the expectation of the sponsor is that these books borrowed shall be returned back to the same box.

The concept of Take a Book: Return a Book means that those stopping at a Little Free Library are encouraged to take a book they find interesting, read it, and then when finished, pass that same book on to someone else or return it to either the same little lending library unit or take it to a different little library and place it back into the selection for others to read.
