Peace Lutheran Church across CR 2250 from the cemetery was established in 1893 and worships in their current church building constructed in 1942. The cemetery has been here from the beginning.

The cemetery is a rectangular area running north-south on the west side of CR 2250 northeast of the town of Bessie. There are currently 664 burials here. The cemetery is flat with just a few trees. Two paved drives run east-west from the two entrances, and a third paved drive connects the two along the back side of the cemetery. The cemetery is well maintained.
