Rock Creek Park is located at 20102 NW Rock Creek Boulevard, Portland, Oregon. You can park on NW Rock Creek Boulevard east or west of the park or on one of the little feeder streets but there is no parking in front of the main park area. There is also parking in front of the undeveloped east side of the park. The coordinates are set at the playground area. This park is open dawn to dusk.
From the park website: "Six-acre Rock Creek Park, located just north of Highway 26 in the Rock Creek neighborhood, has basketball courts, picnic tables, a large grassy lawn, and a playground with a swing set. Whether walking or biking along the Rock Creek Greenway, nature exploring opportunities abound."
This is a small sized playground with a complicated multi-purposed play structure for older children and small swings and other things for younger children. I noticed slides, bridges, monkey bars, swings and some other equipment that I could not identify. No shade is available in the playground except on the play structure itself.
