"Alessandro De Bosdari (Bologna , 10 May 1867 - Bologna , 12 May 1929) was an Italian diplomat.
Alessandro De Bosdari was born in Bologna, a scion of a noble family town of the counts who had adhered to the Risorgimento ideals.
After graduating June 21, 1888 at the University of Bologna in Law with a dissertation entitled Some questions about luxury , De Bosdari began his diplomatic career by becoming a plenipotentiary minister in Sofia where he remained from 1910 to 1913 and then moved to Athens ( 1913 - 1918 ). After this first phase he became ambassador to Brazil where he remained until 1921 .
In that same year he was appointed governor of Rhodes and of the Dodecanese , an Italian possession, remaining in office from August 17, 1921 to November 15, 1922, since on November 12 of that same year he had been appointed ambassador to Berlin , where he remained until 1926 . He died in Bologna in 1929 ."
