Marker for John Lewis, located in the Lewis-Card Cemetery in Richmond, RI.

This was originally a family cemetery for the Lewis family, one of the area's oldest families. The oldest known stones, all hand-engraved, date to about 1717.

John Lewis's marker, located on the east side of the cemetery, indicates he died in 1806.

Marker text reads:

Here Lies John Lewis

He was in his 13th year of life

The Lewis-Card Cemetery is easily accessible of I-95 at RI 138. Enter the Carpool parking lot. Cemetery is marked Rhode Island Historical Cemetery Richmond #37.
