The Walker Hotel has been maintained (or restored) at a fitting standard for a 100+ year old hotel. It has a broad covered verandah for the upper floor with a corrugated iron awning held up with wooden posts. Decorative cast iron railing is on the two sides. A function room sits on top with large display windows, which may be the only new addition. And the only 'sad-looking' thing about the hotel is the peeling cream paint around the Dated Section on the corner façade.
