At our Site 1 in Edmond, OK the ISS reached a high altitude of 59° at 21:25:04 with an expected magnitude of -3.1. Our viewing location was the intersection of Apollo Rd and Jupiter Rd in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Moon Landing. We viewed the ISS in late twilight from approximately 21:22:20 until 21:29:10 with good viewing conditions. The ISS appeared in the southwest and passed through the constellation Ursa Minor and surprisingly brightened shortly before setting in the northeast. The moon and Jupiter were bright in the southern sky. We had a guest watching this pass with us, the homeowner of the house where we parked. This made for a memorable waymark as we chatted about astronomy and the moon landing.

At Site 2 in Ottawa, Ontario at 22:30:13 EDST elyob observed the ISS reach a maximum altitude of 53° with a magnitude of -3.0. elyob said "The skies were clear. Only haze along the horizon limited my viewing, seven minutes. This might be the first time that I have watched the ISS pass right through the Big Dipper. Mosquitoes were quite comfortable with the heat and humidity."

The flight distance from Edmond to Ottawa is 1,509 miles (5.15 min. x 293 mi./min.).
