She was a faithful member of Bethany Christian Church and the Victory Sunday School Class and attended as long as her health permitted. Into her mid-90's she drove her pickup truck across the field from her home to her church.
In addition to being preceded in death by her parents and spouse, she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters-in-law, W. Raymond and Ione Smith Ricks, James E. "Eck" and Ruby White Ricks, Ernest and Inez Carter Ricks, A.T. "Portie" and Cloteal Craig Ricks; brother J.W. "Moon" Ricks; sister and brother-in-law, Suzie Ricks Latimer and Ray Latimer; and sister and brother-in-law, Uvera "Beedie" Ricks Richards and J.E. "Gene" Richards and brother-in-law, Earl James. She is survived by her sister Leona Ricks James and a sister-in-law Annie Belle Ricks, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
