Smithsonian Art Inventory"An elongated male figure, standing with proper left leg forward and proper right leg positioned with toes downward, sinking into the foundation. The figure has only one arm, the proper right arm, which hangs at his side. Originally, a female figure was positioned opposite him on the sidewalk."
The female figure has been restored and again stands opposite the male figure. She has one arm also, the right arm, and it is raised above her head.
