A former Odd Fellows hall, behind the old Kings Head hotel, Bungay, built in 1882.

Built on land surrounding Bigod castle owned by the Dukes of Norfolk, unfortunately a lapse occurred when in 1884 the trustees of the Norfolk estates sold it to the Bungay Lodge of Oddfellows, who built a large brick hall against the eastern side of the mound.

Now vacant - although there have been plans for some time to convert it to a visitor centre for the nearby castle.
Year of construction: 1882

Cross-listed waymark: [Web Link]

Full inscription:
ODD FELLOWS HALL 1882
