Situated within the entrance to the Methodist Memorial Hall, is a Marble plaque with names of the local congregation which fell during the great war (the First World War).

The Marble plaque is surrounded by two columns of polished red granite. with the base and capping of local grey granite. The following is inscribed on the tablet:

The Glory of God
and in
honoured and revered memory of the
gallant sons of this Church and
Sunday School who died for their King
and Country in The Great War, 1914-1919.
