Having been born ~1917/8, in the last year of 'The Great War' of 1914-8, she would have grown up into the 'Great Depression' - 1929-32, that deeply affected Australians. Not sure when she married Alan Murray Lukins, but they raised three daughters: Merrill, Janet, and Vicki. Alan served in the Australian Army, and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He died 15th November, 1972, aged 57 years - leaving Una 45 years earlier. (From his headstone.)
