The disk is a US Coast & Geodetic Survey disk marked # 571, and is set in concrete at grade level. It is located at the SE corner of the intersection of state routes 253 and 383 in the town of Scottsville, NY (a small town just south of Rochester, NY). The disk is approx. 20 ft. E of Niagara Mohawk pole #2211, and is opposite the corner from the Exxon gas station (the Exxon station is on the NE corner; the disk is on the SE corner). It is located in some fairly dense brush just off the corner of the road, and is directly in front of a metal witness post.
