Die Kirche von Flieth hat ihren Ursprung um 1500, als eine Feldsteinkirche an der Stelle der heutigen Ruine errichtet wurde. Im 30-jährigen Krieg mussten Kirche und Dorf jedoch sehr unter dem Krieg leiden und wurde fast vollkommen zerstört.
Erst im Jahr 1713 wurde die Kirche wieder instand gesetzt und erhielt 1714 ihren im barocken Stil errichteten Turm.
Im Jahr 1945 wurden große Teile des Dorfes und die Kirche durch russische Fliegerangriffe zerstört. Erhalten blieben nur die Umfassungsmauern, Teile des Turmes sowie eine der drei Glocken.

---- A village church, destroyed in the second World War ----

The church of Flieth dates back to 1500, when a cobblestone church was built on the site of today's ruin. However, during the Thirty Years' War, church and village suffered greatly from the war and were almost completely destroyed.
1713 that the church was repaired and in 1714 the church received its Baroque-style tower.
In 1945, large parts of the village and the church were destroyed by Russian air raids. Only the enclosing walls, parts of the tower and one of the three bells were preserved.
