The new Adirondack Gateway rest area on I-87 northbound between exits 16 and 17 is now open. Even though this rest area seems to be surrounded by the city of Glens Falls, it is actually in the town of Queensbury.
In the autumn of 2018, two car-charging stations were added to the new rest stop. They are located in the two northernmost parking stalls, beyond the welcome center building. The charging units are fast charger Juice Bar Energy Bar 50-500 Vdc.
