Palo Verde is a cross roads community of a half dozen houses and the local school. Once located on Highway 80 between Phoenix and Los Angeles, it now has little traffic. The school is now a large modern complex, the bell is located in front of it. According to the plaque, the bell was in use from 1910 to 1956. It was cast by the C.S. Bell Company of Hillsboro OH and is their largest school bell size, 28". The bell appears complete.
