Chad Epley, talented chef at Vast, was killed near N.W. 16th and Classen while riding his bike. Police have not yet been able to track down the person responsible, but video footage shows a car trailing sparks around the same time and area.

Chad Epley, a co-executive chef at the restaurant Vast, died Thursday after his bike was hit by a vehicle that did not stop. More details in the video above.
Vast provided this statement Thursday night:
“Chad was very passionate about being a chef. It was a privilege seeing him come into his own both as a person and chef. He will be greatly missed by the Vast family.” -- Chef Kurt Fleischfresser, Director of Operations, Vast.
