An octagonal gazebo dedicated to Allan B. Heinsohn is at the public library in Ashaway, Rhode Island. The structure is placed along the west border of the property and abuts the top of a wooded hill.
The framing is wood painted white. The wood floor and benches have been left a natural color. The wood shingles have weathered to a light gray. Its louvered cupola is also white with wood shingles. The fascia boards and post braces are scalloped. The porch railing has thin round balustrades. A course of lattice encloses the space between the skirt boards and the ground. The open ceiling has dark wood planks and white rafters and one lamp in the center. A single stair tread is incorporated in the design, so a stone step has been placed below to make for comfortable access.
An oval cast aluminum memorial plaque is attached to the left of the entry way. Against a black background, the saying:
IN MEMORY OF
ALLAN B. HEINSOHN
"QUANTUM IN ME FUIT"
The Latin phrase translates to: "I have done my best."
