Springer Cemetery, with 678 burials, dates back to the late 1800's, and is currently still in use. It lies on the grounds of the Springer Missionary Baptist Church at the corner of Church Avenue and Black Street.

J.B. Williams' headstone is a tall Woodmen of the World tree stump with slightly squared edges. The inscription is located on a scroll, with a dove and crossed implements above. The engraved granite dove sits on top of the scroll. The inscription reads:
