35 years was all Glenn Reynolds lived. He was a sheriff, a cowboy, and a militiaman of the Old West, who died during the Kelvin Grade Massacre (Nov 2, 1889), in Arizona Territory, when the group of Apache renegades he was escorting to Casa Grande escaped. Reynolds was born and raised in Texas. He participated in the cattle drives to Kansas. In 1885, he was elected sheriff of Throckmorton County Texas. In 1887, he and his family brought 3000 head of cattle and 200 horses to Arizona Territory near Bowie. In 1888, Reynolds had his own interaction with legal matters and wound up moving his family to the Globe area. Then, later in 1888, he was elected Gila County Sheriff. History has written much about the Kelvin Massacre and that can be looked up. What I did not know was, by 1890, the US Army had caught the fugitives of the massacre and Mexican Rurales caught an old renegade that had the Sheriff's gun and watch (which were returned to the Reynolds family.)
