La boulangerie fait partie des commerces indispensables de la commune.
Article paru dans Wavignies infos n°12 Le fond de commerce et les murs de la boulangerie ont été la propriété de la famille Braine du 20 octobre 1899 au 1er janvier 1998, date à laquelle Laurent et Sylvie Bertrand en on fait l'acquisition. Ils ont té locataires gérant de ces biens dès le 1er janvier 1993. Le sous dépôt de presse a été annexé au fonds dans les années 1970.

Les journées pour eux sont bien remplies:
Laurent commence au fournil tous les jours à 2h15. Le week-end démarre le vendredi à 1h00 et le samedi à minuit pour se terminer par la dernière cuisson le dimanche midi.
Il assume seul la fabrication du pain et pour satisfaire sa clientèle n'hésite pas à effectuer une fournée dans l'après-midi quand c'est nécessaire.
Sylvie ouvre le magasin à 7h30, une petite coupure de 3 heures et reste présente au magasin jusque 19h30, sauf bien sûr si toute la marchandise a été vendue.
Ils sont aidés par Chantal qui assure la tournée sur Bucamps, Le Quesnel Aubry, une partie de Thieux et un peu le magasin.
Le samedi et le dimanche vous trouvez croissants, petits pains au chocolat, chaussons aux pommes, chouquettes, brioches, tartes et pâtisseries à votre choix ainsi que de nombreuses variété de pains.
A Wavignies, nous avons la chance d'avoir un professionnel courageux, ne nous privons pas de déguster un pain de qualité.
