The map accurately shows that you are at the entrance to the regional Botanic Gardens, and just off of Pittwater Road. As it is specifically showing the Botanic Garden, and not necessarily the surrounding streets, it has a fairly limited Legend, which includes the following symbols:

* Main Track; Wheelchair Accessible Track; Sensory Track; Side Tracks; Parking; Toilets; Picnic Area; Barbecue; and Steps.

"This oasis was once a disused stone quarry. It was officially dedicated by the NSW Government in 1957 for the promotion, study and preservation of Australian native flora. Since it opened in 1961, it has been extensively weeded, regenerated and revegetated. The flora reserve was established as a native botanic garden in 2007. It is managed by Warringah Council and maintained with the aid of a dedicated group of volunteers." [ex-sign]
