This war memorial was dedicated by the citizens of Carnegie. It is located in a grass field just north of the high school baseball field, near State Highway 9, on the west side of Carnegie.

This is a tall granite monument behind which fly the flags of the United States, Oklahoma and the POW/MIA flag. The gray outer parts of the monument have small engravings in the corners of Praying Hands, an Angel, the Soldier's Cross and a Kneeling Soldier. Several sayings are etched on the pillars and on the two-tiered base. They read:

- "We were young. We have died. Remember us."
- "Our flag does not fly because the wind moves it. It flies with the last breath of each solder who died protecting it."
- "A nation that forgets its defenders will itself be forgotten."
- "America's veterans have fought for our country's freedoms. Some lost their lives or limbs. May they all live in our hearts forever."

The center portion of the monument has a black polished pillar with the seals of six branches of the military engraved. Listed are the names of those veterans who lost their lives in World War I, World War II, Korea, and Vietnam, as well as the name of Jack Montgomery, a Medal of Honor recipient.

The dedication reads:
