Location of rest area: I-90, east bound rest area at mile marker 218, 6 miles E. of Vivian.

South Dakota's newer Highway Rest Areas have very nice facilities plus a visitor information sign display consisting of 6 panels of information of interest to area visitors.

Since I visited here, the Medicine Creek Historic Marker has been moved, and a new Purple Heart Highway sign erected
