This sculpture displays the warriors that defended the Thai province of Singburi from the invading Burmese. In the year 1765 the Burmese invaded Thailand and a group of Burmese soldiers raided this region of Thailand. For 8 months the local people defended their land against the Burmese. This museum describes their battle.

The sculpture is the central piece of the Bang Rachan Historical Park. One approaches through a long path. When I visited repair work was underway and I could not walk on the dais. There is a nearby museum for this historial event.
