"37. 211 East Main Street, the John M. Schaper House (1931), ca. 1929. A one and one half story Tudor Revival house which is known to be both architect designed and prefabricated. The house has a stone foundation, stone walls and a steep side gable roof with a smaller cross gable. A small central bay porch with newer metal posts and balustrades shelters the front door. Although the prominent front gable presents a full stone facade, the side facing gables have faux half timbering and stucco on the upper section. The 1/1 windows are early or original. "A few High-style houses were built in the Locust Street neighborhood in the 1920s and 1930's, most of which are Period Revival houses. Two Tudor Revival houses are located on East Main Street.
