In 1991 when the historic district was created this 1938 smooth limestone-faced commercial building housed Chips Antiques. Currently it has been combined with the building next door and houses Uptown Blanco Arts and Entertainment.

Texas Historic Site Atlas

The Glascock Building #2 is one of three buildings constructed in 1938 for W.D. Glascock. A number of businesses have occupied the space including a cafe, restaurant. Sears catalog store, and antique store. It was purchased in 1973 by Stanley Lane. It is significant for representing a mid-20th-century stage of commercial development and architecture in Blanco.
