The St. Andrew's Church Steeple is all that remains of this Church which once stood on Finch Road in Douglas.

The Foundation stone for this Church was laid on 2nd October 1867. The architect was John Robinson who design many important buildings in Douglas including the Oddfellows Hall in Athol Street which had become the Douglas Courthouse by the time the Church came to be built. (visit link)

The Church was built on the same site as an earlier church and during the construction work the congregation worshipped in St. James' Hall on Athol Street.

The new Church was opened on 8th December 1867.

The Church building was partially demolished in 1997 following a failed attempt to have the building listed. The tower and the steeple were retained and now form part of St. Andrew's House which is now in use as offices.

The tower and steeple today house the office buildings lift shaft.

The entrance to the St. Andrew's House was designed to resemble the Church's Gothic-revival porch.
