"This handsome, two story, red brick house is a modest example of the Italian Renaissance Revival style. It has a low pitched hipped roof, with shed roofed dormer, covered in red clay tile, a feature also seen on the single bay, one front story porch. The façade is three bays wide with a central entrance flanked by sidelights. Decorative cornice brackets support the overhanging eaves. There is a one-story porch on the east elevation. A square brick garage with medium pitched hipped roof sits on the back of the property and is the same style as the home." ~ NRHP Nomination Form

Historic Fulton Missouri
Court Street
Historic District
Awarded a National Historic designation in 2007, the Court Street Historic Residential District begins on 10th Street and continues to Fulton's historic downtown. The tree-lined streets compliment 83 homes of varying architectural styles, many of which were designed by a prominent Missouri architect and Fulton resident, M.F. Bell, and remind us of a time when life was much less hectic.

"continuous stone course between 1st and 2nd story, all the way around house
Decorative cornice brackets around four sides.
"A"; enclosed porch, 1st story, open balcony 2nd story. Wooden storm windows. Ice door and coal shute bricked In, by Blattner, on north side. Some interior plaster walls have been paneled.

"Due to the difficulty involved in maintgining the red tile roof, Mr. Elattner was considering rdplacing tile with a conventional roof, Fall 1978. Not yet altered by 6/79. Such an alteration would greatly reduce the integrity of the architecture.

"Old square cut stones between sidewalk and street serve attractively as transition walk." ~ Fulton Historic Survey  part 1, page 964
